Hello Parents & Guardians of Anna McDonald School,
On Wednesday, May 15th at roughly 10am, Anna McDonald will be partaking in the ALICE Crises Drill. As with any of our emergency drills, the objective is to practice and prepare so that everyone has some some sense of how to respond in the event we have an actual situation on our hands. This drill will be VERY VERY basic and in no, way, shape or form will it bring fear or anxiety to our students. May 15th will merely be introducing our students to some new instinctive protocols that includes a very controlled evacuation in which the students & staff will remain on school grounds. As with any emergency situation, what is important for our kids to understand is the importance of following directions and behaving as such that will allow them to hear the directives given.
If you have any questions regarding May 15th, please don't hesitate to contact me, however, please be assured, the drill will be very controlled & very basic.
